Gennaro Gattuso under investigation on possible match fixing

Former Italy international football star and AC Milan player, Gennaro Gattuso, is being investigated by Italian Justice officials for allegedly participating in match-fixing operations. Police has arrested four persons for similar allegations which could span as wide as to over 30 matches and as far back as 2009.

Gattuso who was part of the World Cup winning Italian national team has denied any connection with the match-fixing accusations and has called them absured and claims to be offended. “I’m angry and offended, I don’t even know how you would fix a match. I don’t know how you’d go about it” he told Sportmediaset television.
