US authorities dismantled an illegal sports wagering operation ranging from the US to Russia and responsible for laundering over $100 million in bets, also involves some very high profile characters. The operation was being run by two Russian-American criminal organizations. Among the famous people involved are Molly Bloom (linked to high stakes poker games in LA and NY involving actors like DiCaprio and Affleck) and Hillel Nahmad whose family became famous for trading famous art pieces worth millions.
