Full Tilt Poker to Add Sportsbook

The Rational Group, the main company behind PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, is possibly looking to expand its offering to customers by adding a sportsbook to their website.

The company has already increased its vertical offer by adding a casino to the mix with games being slowly integrated in the system. At the moment, players can participate in roulette and blackjack games provided by Leander Games. But there are talks of adding a sportsbook as well, making Full Tilt the first website by The Rational Group, to offer a full suite of gaming options.

A spokesperson for the Rational Group, said in an interview with EGR Magazine, that the company was “exploring opportunities to enter global sports betting markets to

“enhance our online gaming offerings”. The launch has been tentatively set for 2015. Full Tilt Poker has been struggling to recoup its former position on the top of the online poker charts, especially after its closure in 2012, caused by the Black Friday debacle which crippled the online gaming industry.
