FanDuel Launch SportsbookIn New York’s Southern Tier

FanDuel has brought the first-ever sport-betting retail sportsbook to New York. The enabling law was passed six years ago, but till now there wasn’t any sportsbook in the market. FanDuel for the first time entered in the market of New York, 14 months after PASPA fell, with the sportsbook in Southern Tier of New York.

They opened a sportsbook at Tioga in Nichols on Friday, July 17th, 2019 which is the first in the Southern Tier of New York. And the second one has opened at Rivers (Schenectady Country) on July 16th, 2019. New York State Assemblywoman placed the first bet by Donna Lupardo- she bet on Cori “Coco” to win the US +3600.

The Tioga Downs Casino Resort is one of the first retail locations in Nicholas which is 30 miles away from southwest of Binghamton. As the location don’t have competition close by, so Lowich is expecting a lot from northern Pennsylvania.

Moreover, The FanDuel sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack in East Rutherford, N.J. was opened in June 2018, from this they have a total revenue of $12,731,810 this year till June, from William Hill sportsbook at Monmouth Park, gave $3,139,275 over the span. As FanDuel and Jeff Gural partnering again, on this Lowich stated that they have a strong partnership with Jeff Gural, which will be a massive success for both the investors.

Lastly, FanDuel the senior director of retail operations Jeff Lowich stated this on a phone interview that “This is one of the first retail locations in New York and they couldn’t be more excited about it,” Also they think that this sportsbook is doing well. There is no competition close by.
