The police have now opened up an investigation into the matter, after the staff at the Betfred bookmaker shop called the police after having been threatened by the two men with guns. The police told the press that the robbers only managed to get a fairly small amount of cash with them and that nobody got hurt.

Furthermore the forensic team have gone through the entire shop to look for fingerprints and other type of evidence to find the people behind the robbery. Witnesses will also be interviewed shortly to give their testimony towards the robbery and to give a description of how the robbers looked.

“We are trawling CCTV from the surrounding area to see if the offenders have been captured on film and we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen these men acting suspiciously in the area or running from the premises.” Leading Investigator for West Midland Police, Toby Davis said.
