The world’s leading betting exchange site, Betfair, has partnered up with the online and mobile credentials management company Jumio. The agreement sees that Betfair will integrate Jumio’s Netverify customer verification system and their on-board solution.
The solution allows customers to verify their accounts and identity through a mobile camera, tablet camera or even a web camera, as the software provided by Jumio turns those into an ID scanning terminal. These terminals can then see and recognize ID of customers and other necessary details needed for Know Your Customer (KYC) verifications. The solution is integrated into Betfair’s website and can be chosen as a KYC verification method for customers.
“By adding Jumio’s Netverify into the customer verification process, we are making life quicker and easier for our customers, minimising fall-out from lengthy verification processes and removing costly man hours where we have to receive and review documents manually,” head of registrations at Betfair’s, payments and fraud department, Phillip Rivers, said.
EMEA sales director at Jumio, Catherine Hickey added: “More and more of the top operators are integrating Jumio into their customer verification processes. Betfair is the latest operator to use Jumio not just to meet KYC requirements but also to deliver a quicker and slicker customer experience.”
