The world’s biggest bookmaker, measured on revenue, Bet365 announced today that they will be relocating their main offices from Stoke in the UK to Gibraltar, the sovereign state on the edge of Spain.
The former headquarters for the bookie will continue to operate from Stoke while the new headquarters in Gibraltar will take care of their remote gaming. The decision to move to Gibraltar is quite logical, since the company has had their license there since 2007 and most of their competitors also holds their license there.
The move won’t change anything in terms of long term strategy for Bet365 and they will still maintain all of the licenses they have for regulated markets such as Denmark, Spain and the UK. The company will also continue to obtain licenses in new regulated markets, to be able to keep their market position.
