Broadcasting live betting odds during live sports events will be a thing of the past in Australia now that new rules have been put in place to keep the enjoyment and watching of sports on TV segregated from the practice of gambling.
Autralia’s Prime Minister, Julia Gillard, has said that government will order all broadcasters to change and fix their codes of practice to make sure that the promoting and advertising of gambling during live sportin events is reduced significantly.
“From the moment that the players step onto the field, to the moment that they leave the field, there will be no live odds” Julia Gillard said in a conference in Sydney.
