Arsenal football club has found itself embroiled in a betting scandal in the worst possible moment as only days ago, three people were arrested over match-fixing allegations. The club has shown zero tolerance or mercy to the academy coach who tweeted inside information about transfer deadline wagers.
Mesut Ozil’s £42 million transfer to Arsenal in August which prompted the tweets by Arber also led to him being suspended from his job as academy coach during investigations by the FA and the club.
The FA decided not to charge 36 year old Arber but they have decided to send him a letter of admonestation and remind him of his responsabilities to the club and the academy. Arsenal however and despite Arber’s father being involved in the club, has decided to cut off ties with Arber.
