As an effort to fight match-fixing among athletes and avoid any type of corruption, an education programme has been created and funded by three betting firms. The  Professional Players Federation (PPF), an organisation that represents more than 15,600 athletes in the UK, has signed a three-year education agreement with bet365, Betfair and Ladbrokes.

This initiative will allow professional athletes learn about gambling ethics and integrity. According to sports Minister Hugh Robertson, this project will “help safeguard sport from cheats”.
