The American Gaming Association gave assurance to Nevada that the demand of sports betting services in the state would not be affected by the legalisation of the sports betting across the country.

The American Gaming Association said that the tourism in Las Vegas continues to rise and the visitors come for a vivid and variety of experience, ensuring the competition in sports betting wouldn’t cause any harm to the industry.

The AGA further feels that the claims from the opponents of the idea that the betting on the games exposes the integrity of the sports to dishonest play which can be eliminated if the industry is carefully managed.

The commissioners of national sporting leagues are staunch opponents of legal sports betting in the country, citing their concerns of risking the integrity of the game with the introduction of betting on sports. They feel it would ease the way for corruption and match-fixing.

Many leagues are embracing the idea of sports betting, including NBA and even NFL showing more acceptance towards the idea of legal sports betting as it would allow fans seeking more engagement with games, teams and players a chance to enjoy.
