Technology supplier A Bet A unveiled a new betting shop product today, which removes the discrepancy between odds shown on the tills and the customers screen. The new display is known as Smart Screens and it prevents the latency that has been a major issue in the industry for years.
Other benefits for betting shops includes that it is no longer needed to have in-venue graphics control hardware. The smart screens will have all the features and support all the technology needs that any shop could have and can be fully controlled by the in-shop EPOS terminal.
“TV hardware has moved on in the last few years and the promotion of betting and gaming information and data needs to move with it. It’s more important than ever that operators combine modern web and display technologies with their bet management systems to deliver media-rich content that really engages their clientele” Operations Manager of A Bet A, Jason Hardman said.
“We’re very confident the Smart Screens will do just that, and be a strong, complementary product welcomed by bookmakers of all shapes and sizes. As the screens will be driven directly from the EPOS system there will be no latency between the shop floor and till, which will be a real boon for customers too.” he added.
