Viktor Blom, also known as Isildur1, took the world by storm a few years back when the Swedish cash-game grinder began playing the highest stakes in the world on Full Tilt, playing every single player in the world no matter how good they were considered being.
Initially the media-shy Swede didn’t let anyone know that he was the guy behind the account, but after a while the story broke and he became the talk of the town for the entire industry. His story was unique due to him building up his bankroll extremely fast and taking shots that we all dreamt about doing, while having some of the biggest swings ever seen in online poker.
Blom ended up going busto several times, but landed sponsorship agreements which helped him stay in the game, the biggest being with Pokerstars. Since the sponsorship agreement with them ended, we haven’t seen much to Blom, at least not until November last year.
After being on the down-low for a longer period, Blom was invited to participate in Unibet’s Golden Cash Game. At the time rumours surfaced that Blom might soon be sponsored by Unibet, but there has been no announcements of such since then.
Now it seems that the announcement may come soon, as Blom was seen wearing a Unibet patch at the EPT Grand Final last month and now he is set to stream him playing poker on Unibet’s poker platform through the online streaming service Twitch.
The action will be streamed on May 27th between 11:00 and 23:00 BST on Unibet’s official Twitch channel, where you can see Blom play NL50-NL400 and PLO50-PLO400 as well as chat with the player through the chat function.
It will be interesting to see if Blom will receive a new sponsorship with Unibet and perhaps make a comeback to the online scene after being gone for a long time.
