UK & Ireland Online Poker Rankings Beresford and Wilson on Top

David “Clarkson7” Clarkson makes the headlines in the recent update of the UK and Online climbing to 19th place. The rise in rankings for Clarkson, better known for his cash game prowess, is courtesy of the eighth-place finish in the partypoker $100K Gtd Uppercut, which was worth $1,390. The talented newbie is expected to further ascend in the rankings with the recent seventh place finish in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up for $5,910 in cash.

Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford sits at the top of the standings in the United Kingdom, with a comfortable 750 point cushion between himself and the pack. He is followed by the partypoker ambassador Patrick Leonard and David “davaman” Lopez at the third position.

Charlie “chaz_man_chaz” Combes is another to make quick strides in the rankings, thanks to second finish at $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for $16,961 and third finish in the Super Tuesday for $31,727, both at PokerStars.

The online poker ranking race in Ireland is tight. The last week’s top-ranked player Dara “Doke” O’Kearney finds himself in fifth place, although his distance from the top position is a mere 100 points. Earlier, O’Kearney had said that Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson would reclaim the top spot and the same happened.

Wilson moved up the ranking ladder with the $3,275 seventh-place prize in the PokerStars Daily 500 and the third-place finish in the 888poker $10,000 Crocodile for $1,845. He is closely followed by Tomas “luckymo32” Geleziunas, Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen and James “Jaymo” Noonan.

Meanwhile, Daniel “danielt999” Tighe had a great run in the last week, with wins at PokerStars $215 NLHE Turbo for $4,171 and $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for a cool $16,451.
