The talented newbie is expected to further ascend in the rankings with the recent seventh place finish in the PokerStars $215 Sunday Warm-Up for $5,910 in cash.
Conor “1_conor_b_1” Beresford sits at the top of the standings in the United Kingdom, with a comfortable 750 point cushion between himself and the pack. He is followed by the partypoker ambassador Patrick Leonard and David “davaman” Lopez at the third position.
Charlie “chaz_man_chaz” Combes is another to make quick strides in the rankings, thanks to second finish at $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for $16,961 and third finish in the Super Tuesday for $31,727, both at PokerStars.
The online poker ranking race in Ireland is tight. The last week’s top-ranked player Dara “Doke” O’Kearney finds himself in fifth place, although his distance from the top position is a mere 100 points. Earlier, O’Kearney had said that Dan “NukeTheFish!” Wilson would reclaim the top spot and the same happened.
Wilson moved up the ranking ladder with the $3,275 seventh-place prize in the PokerStars Daily 500 and the third-place finish in the 888poker $10,000 Crocodile for $1,845. He is closely followed by Tomas “luckymo32” Geleziunas, Kevin “SuitedAcesBaby” Killeen and James “Jaymo” Noonan.
Meanwhile, Daniel “danielt999” Tighe had a great run in the last week, with wins at PokerStars $215 NLHE Turbo for $4,171 and $530 Bounty Builder High Roller for a cool $16,451.
Dan “DatWIllDoPig” Rankin was another with brace wins in the last week. Rankin won the $16.50 NLHE 6-Max Hyper Turbo for $1,564 at PokerStars and won the $16.50 NLHE 8-Max Turbo for an additional $1,121 the next day.
