The long awaited trailer for the poker movie, Molly’s Game is out. The film set to release on November 22 worldwide looks promising.

Molly’s Game is directed by Aaron Sorking and stars Jessica Chastain and Idris Elba. The film is based on real events of private high stakes poker games that were organised by the Hollywood ‘poker princess’, Molly Bloom.

The biggest poker game in the town

Molly Bloom was famous to hold one of the highest stakes games which attracted many businessmen, athletes and Hollywood celebrities like Ben Afflick, Leonardo Di Caprio, Tobey Maguire, to name a few.

Molly initially started serving drinks in these games that used to take place in Viper Room Bar. The movie is adapted from Bloom’s book in which she describes all the experiences in details, including how she ended up being charged for serious offences which put an end to her career of being poker hostess.

Bloom operated her business keeping the law in check. However, things changed when she moved to New York, where Bloom instead of working for the tips, started raking from the pots.  FBI got a chance to bring charges against her that resulted in a fine of $125,000 and one-year probation.

Molly’s Game: The movie

As of now, it’s too early to say as to how the movie is devoted to actual poker hands. It still looks promising with the trailer suggesting the movie involves all the legal procedures Bloom faced along with a lot of stakes action, money, lies and all that is associated with the gambling for such massive amounts.

Apart from Molly’s name, all the names have been changed to protect the identities of the ones involved.
