Stephen Paddock, the man behind the biggest mass shooting in the modern US history once claimed to be the biggest video poker player in the world. In an interview in 2013 he claimed to be ‘the biggest video poker player in the world’ and called himself ‘the creature of night’.
He is said to have gambled all night and sleep during the day. Stephen also claimed that nobody has played more than him. He gambled 14 hours a day and 365 days a year on an average. He gave the testimony as part of a lawsuit over slip-and-fall accident in the Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas.
Psychologist, Dr. Jeff Gardere, outlined Stephen’s habits and called it ‘Batman Syndrome’. Meanwhile, Steve Wynn, Las Vegas Casino mogul said that he failed to identify the danger before he carried out his shooting spree. For almost three straight days “Do not disturb” sign board was hanging on his hotel room. Wynn said they should have decoded it as a danger.
Stephen’s shooting spree in Mandalay Hotel in Las Vegas resulted in 58 causalities and more than 500 people were severely injured. He carried out his gruesome act on October 1 which not only shocked US but the whole world.
