Senior Poker Tour with Memorial Weekend Mini Series

The Senior Poker Tour (SPT) is becomingly increasingly popular in the states and continues to expand their tournament series throughout more and more states. They have just announced that their next event will be in the Stars Casino in Tracy, California, where the SPT Central Valley Open will have a total of six events, starting May 22nd and finishing May 26th.

The six event series includes a $175 Green Chip Bounty tournament, a tag team poker tournament as well as a $300 buy-in Main Event. Other events such as Beat the Bosses and LIPS Ladies Event are also included in the Californian SPT tournament series. The casino will be hosting plenty of satellites to qualify cheaply into the tournaments.

“SPT is excited to come to Northern California at the Stars Casino. It’s about time the smaller card rooms take on a major tour series. Even though seating is limited, we know it’s going to be a tough field of players,”  Lupe Soto, CEO of SPT said in a press release. “We’re working on partnering with casinos of all sizes to highlight this segment of the poker world.” he added.

Shares Hal Coblentz, Vice President of SPT also made a comment “Also on the schedule are several tour stops with our growing partnership with the PPC Poker Tour. We have stops at PPC Casino Miami Poker Classic that begins June 1, the PPC Tour Dania Casino & Jai-Alai that begins June 4th and the PPC North American Championship SPT event that begins July 17th.” and added “Our aggressive growth plan shows the popularity, originality and need of such events in this industry.”
