The Rational Group has once again been chosen as one of the best places to work in the United Kingdom, which includes their headquarters on the Isle of Man. The group which operates both Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker has been chosen for the third consecutive year and proves that a good employee environment makes a good poker site.

Tuesday night, the Great Place Work Institute announced this year’s “best workplace” rankings for large companies within the UK, where the Rational Group was ranked at a 14th place. The rankings are based on an employee survey that is conducted by the institute and the score will then put a company somewhere in the rankings.

This year’s great place in the rankings marks the third consecutive year that both the UK and Isle of Man offices has been on the best workplaces list. But it’s not just in the UK that Rational Group treats their employees well, as the offices they have in Ireland and Costa Rica has had similar awards in their countries.

“Once again, we are the only company in our industry to receive this accolade, which speaks volumes for our desire to lead from the front,” Chief Finance Officer of the Rational Group, Michael Hazel said.  “We are working hard to embrace the principles of what makes a great workplace and will never stop listening to our people and acting on their feedback.” he added.

On a global level, more than 6,000 companies and organizations are surveyed and around 10 million employees are affected. The process includes surveying both the employees in the company as well as the management, ensuring that they get a holistic view of the company’s HR policies and practices and understand how the employees react to these.

“We are delighted to recognise a record 100 organisations which have achieved the coveted status of Best Workplace, one that has high trust and highly engaged employees,” CEO of the Great Place to Work Institute said. “All Best Workplaces recognise the strategic importance of creating and maintaining high trust, highly engaged workplaces as this can improve business performance and, for many, the bottom line.” he added.
