Pokerstars has just announced the schedule for the upcoming eight version of the Micro Millions tournament series, which is by far the most popular online tournament series in the world. Micro Millions takes place over the course of 11 playing days from July 17th to 27th and offers 100 different events with a total of $5 million guaranteed in prizes.

As always Micro Millions will feature  a main event, which this year will be a $22 No-Limit Hold’em tournament with a massive $1 million guaranteed in prizes. This provides six digit prizes to the player who is fortunate and skilled enough to go all the way in the massive field.

“MicroMillions 8 is undoubtedly the best online poker championship for recreational and low stakes players. The tournaments come thick and fast and the value is unreal. There’s a $2.20 buy-in tourney with a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000 – how can you miss that? Even for higher stakes players, the huge fields and big prizes are a major draw.” Portuguese Team Pokerstars Pro, João Nunes said.

Besides the massive amounts of tournaments that players can play, Pokerstars also announced that they will have a Micro Millions Challenge. The challenge is quite simple, as players playing more than six events will be provided tickets to either a $15,000 all-in shootout or a $30,000 all-in shootout.

  • Play 6-9 events – get a ticket to a $15k All-in Shootout (first prize of $1,500)
  • Play 10+ events – get a ticket to a $30k All-in Shootout (first prize of $3,000)

Satellites for Micro Millions events does not count towards the amount of events played, only events in the Micro Millions series counts. With this promotion players are given some extra value for playing a series of events and could potentially have an extra big pay day.
