Pokerstars got Football Fever - $1,7 Million in Promotions

Pokerstars got Football Fever 1 7 Million in Promotions

Tonight is the official start of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and Pokerstars are going to celebrate that with its players. Simply put, Pokerstars are giving away more than $500,000 in non-time daily challenges and will also be hosting a $1,000,000 guaranteed Phase Tournament amongst the promotions made available.

As an extra touch for the players, 32 customized "Football Fever Avatars" has been made available in the client and they will remain so until July 13th. Along with the avatars comes a set of daily challenges for players to compete to get their share of the $500,000 in give-away prizes.

The $1 Million Guaranteed Phase Tournament will take place from June 25th and until July 6th, with $100,000 minimum for the first place finisher. Players advancing to step 2 will be included in the final tournament, while players trying their luck in the phase 1 tournaments can continue to register and try to reach phase 2 as many times as they want to.

Lastly the football fever mission week will run from July 7-13th, where players can win a share of a $225,000 prize pool. Players can choose between cash game missions, sit'n'go's missions or tournament missions. When the missions are completed, players will win a ticket to one of the three $75,000 guaranteed All-in shootout tournaments, which will be hosted on July 16th on 14.05/15.05/16.05 ET, with $7,500 for first place.

Keeping track of your progress has been made easy by Pokerstars, as they have created a new promotional window within the client. This allows players to opt-in to promotions as well as track their progress in challenges and missions. This feature is also available for those playing on mobile devices.
