A month long event that is scheduled between Aug.13 – Sept. 13, World Cup of Cards (WCC) is returning for its second year in Playground Poker Club. This year, the event is going to be bigger and better. With more than $6 million guaranteed prize pool, it is likely to attract players of all experience levels.
The main highlight of the WCC is the number of the non-hold’em events it will conduct. There will be 36 events this time, where 11 will be played as other games which will include pot-limit Omaha eight-or-better, crazy pineapple, and the famous “Roll the Dice” six-game mixed tournament. There are many no-limit hold’em formats scheduled throughout. The players looking for some change in their poker tournament play will have many great options.
The WCC, 2017 starts with the $220 PartyPoker LIVE Grand Prix Canada with a $1 million prize pool guarantee. Next big event, CPPT World Cup of Cards is scheduled from Aug. 25-28, a $1,500 + $150 no-limit hold’em event with two starting flights and guaranteed $400,000.
The next will have a new event, Playground1000, with $1,100 buy-in and four starting flights with a $1 million prize pool guarantee. The main event with a $2,200 no-limit hold’em, featuring three single re-entry has a massive $2 million guarantee.
On requests, two additional $5,000 eight-max events plus a $10,000 high roller six-max event are added to the schedule this year. In addition to all of these amazing events, the World Cup of Cards will feature a full range of hold’em and non-hold’em format games, all managed by Playground Poker Club.
