The Austrian-based bookmaker group SKS365 Group GmbH announced today that the recent reports in the media regarding them wanting to enter the Spanish iGaming market are are true and that they have applied for a gaming license there.

SKS365 Group GmbH owns the Planetwin365 brand, a bookmaker who has been in constant growth since its opening and who currently runs one of the world’s biggest poker rooms. They have betting shops in Austria, Serbia and Belgium and now looks towards Spain for the same thing, expanding their proprietary betting platform across Europe.

SKS365 applied for a betting license as well as a other games license in Spain, which would allow them to offer Spanish customers betting and side games, but not poker initially as Spain ring-fences their games.

“Planetwin365 offers an extremely strong European sports book which will have great potential in the Spanish market. We can bring new value in sports betting to the Spanish customers through our innovative and highly competitive product, which has already proven very popular in other countries. We see Spain as a really attractive market and are hoping for a launch in the first half of 2015.” Chief Executive Officer of SKS365, Thomas Smallwood said in a press release.
