PKR, one of the most well-known online poker sites, announced a brand new senior management team this week, as the company has hired three new people for key positions. The three new people will be lead by Chris Welch, an iGaming veteran with more than 16 years experience in the industry.
Welch has a background in marketing and general management for Coral, Pokerstars and Bwin.Party and comes from a role as Group Poker Director at Bwin.Party, but will now be the CEO of PKR and their operations.
The new Chief Technical Officer will be Mike Ellis, who joins PKR after having worked for William Hill, Betfred and YouWin for more than 16 years combined. Tony Brown is the final new senior management member, who will take the position of Chief Financial Officer, replacing Jeremy Longley who will stay onboard in a consulting role.
“PKR has long been an innovator in the market”, said Welch, “and at a time when every poker operator is seeking ways to attract and retain the recreational poker player, PKR’s innovative and unique poker software puts the business ahead of the curve. Our aim is clearly to develop our product offering further to become a true multi-product offering and strengthen our mobile proposition. I am delighted to be leading this great business and to be joined by Mike and Tony who bring a wealth of industry and non-industry experience, to unlock the true potential of this business.”
