Phil Hellmuth, one of the most well known poker players in the world, has teamed up with Poker Central, a new TV channel with poker around the clock. He joins forces with Daniel Negreanu and Antonio Esfandiari, who signed partner agreements with the channel earlier this year.
“Phil is an exciting addition to our Poker Central team. No poker endeavor would be complete without him.” Clint Stinchcomb, Chief Executive Officer of Poker Central said.
“I’m glad to play an integral role in creating Poker Central. It’s exciting to create a poker TV network that will launch worldwide from day one.” Phil Hellmuth added.
Poker Central has not launched yet, despite having been in the works for more than a year now. The channel is set to go live in October this year, which might give online and landbased poker a boost that it needs once again.
Poker Central will be showing poker from some of the biggest tournaments in the world, including the $500,000 buy-in 2015 Super High Roller Bowl, taking place in the Aria Resort and Casino. The tournament will run from July 2nd to the 4th and will be cut down to a TV friendly show for the masses.
It will have an estimated prize pool of $25 million, with 50 participants needed to reach that level. Several big names has already announced their arrival, including Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Erik Seidel and Tom Dwan, with more big names expected to participate.
