Peppermill Casino Joins Ultimate Poker

Share

On Thursday the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino in Reno, Nevada announced they will start offering online poker at their properties. The Peppermill owns multiple properties including Western Villaga Inn & Casino in Sparks and three more casinos in Wendover near the Utah border.

The agreement with Ultimate Poker awaits approval by the Nevada Gaming Control Board and Nevada Gaming Commission before people can play online poker at Peppermill locations.

In the report by RGJ.com Billy Paganetti, a Peppermill general manager said, “It is great to be able to offer our players an existing and secure online poker product from a trusted partner like Ultimate Gaming.”

In recent numbers by PokerScout things are not looking too good for Ultimate Poker who has taken a back seat to both PartyPoker and WSOP.com in New Jersey, and trails WSOP.com in Nevada as well. Ultimate Gaming needs a boost in player traffic with the upcoming WSOP right around the corner and this seems like another attempt to grow their numbers.

Where WSOP.com has not hired any sponsored pros, and ran little promotions, they still managed to get ahead of Ultimate who has the likes of Antonio Esfandiari, Jeff Gross, Jason Somerville, Dan O’Brien and Danielle ‘moongril’ Anderson on their roster. In cooperation with the UFC Ultimate Poker should be able to gain substantial traffic over time, but for now the key seems to be to reach more states than just Nevada and New Jersey.
