As the summer is nearing its end and more players are finding their way back to the tables, the prize pools for the Sunday majors are once again increasing. Yesterday the Sunday Million from Pokerstars offered the usual $1 million guaranteed, but reached a total prize pool of $1,386,200 to be split amongst the players finishing in the money.
A total of 6,931 players paid the $200+15 buy-in to compete for the massive first prize of $210,845.43, but it ended with a three way deal at the final table. “MiniiPop”, “Bequipe” and “peitelanco” made a deal once the three players were the only ones left, making the difference between third and first a mere $6,000 only.
In the end peitelanco from Venezuela finished in third place for $156,840.21, Bequipe from Finland finished in second place for $158,165.02, while MiniiPop from Canada took home the first place and its first prize of $162,683.70 for his 12 hours of play.
The Sunday Warm Up offered $500,000 in guaranteed prize pool, but with 2,901 players paying the $200+15 buy-in, the prize pool reached $580,200. Here “jorginho88” from Portugal took home the first place without making any sort of deal and won the first prize of $91,382.17.
Congratulations to the big winners of this Sunday’s major tournaments.
