Million Dollar Heater Poker Series to kick off on Jan. 4

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi is set to host the seventh annual Million Dollar Heater, which starts on January 4-15, 2018. The poker event boasts $1,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools and 65 tables.

The Million Dollar Heater Poker Series kicks off with a $600,000 guaranteed event that has an entry fee of $300 +$45 + $10. The main event at the poker series has a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool with an entry fee of $2,500 + $200.

In total, there will be 14 tournament events with buy-ins ranging from $155 to $2,500. The venue would be hosting daily No-Limit Hold’em tournaments for $100 + $25 and daily events with exciting game formats including, Pot Limit Omaha, Limit Omaha 8 or Better and 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em.

The will be two $300 + $45 + $10 Mega Satellites Jan. 12-14, and $120 + $30 Super Satellites with $100 re-buys Jan. 7-13 at 7 p.m. with two main event seats guaranteed during the Million Dollar Heater.

Besides, there will be a tournament dedicated for seniors on Jan. 9 at 11:00 a.m., boasting $50,000 in prizes. The January 12 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship has a $1,000 buy-in with a freeze-out format, and it will run as a Mega Satellite for the event.

Last year, Million Dollar Heater attracted 2,739 entries to break the Mississippi state record for the most number of entries in a single event.

Beau Rivage Poker Room Manager Henry Garrison expressed excitement on presenting the 2018 event, saying this year’s format is exciting and all the players making it to the second day of any event will win cash. Garrison added that the new format makes complete sense and has been followed by major poker series.

The registration for the event starts at 6:00 p.m. on January 4.
