Although the playMGM platform has not set a launch date as yet, it is known that it will commence games later this year to those players only within New Jersey.

The platform is powered by GVC and online casino technology supplier based on the Isle of Man. GVC has 100% ownership of Atlantic City.GVC purchased bwin.party in 2016 for roughly $1.6 billion winning the contract over its rival 888 which was also wanting to buy win.

MGM is licensed in Nevada for online poker but it does not have an iPoker offering there as this is the property of Caesars.  The company has continually pushed for online poker both in New York and in Michigan.

Total internet casino intake for Atlantic City casinos in March 2017 exceeded, for the first time, the $20-million mark.
