Merge Poker Kicks Out New Jersey and Delaware Players

There have been multiple reports in online poker forums by players from Delaware and New Jersey stating they have been shut down from the Merge Poker Network. Merge Poker is one of the few online poker networks which still allows players from the USA to register and play for real money.

According to an article by onlinepokerreport.com, Carbon Poker (one of the rooms running on the Merge Network), confirmed it was “regrettably no longer offering its services to players located in New Jersey and Delaware. The decision was made after much consideration”.

Players took to TwoPlusTwo and Poker.org forums to vent their frustrations after finding out their accounts had been suspended. The only explanation given to them by support staff was that their accounts had been “banned as per restrictions set in your state”.

This move by Merge comes after New Jersey and Delaware decided to legalize and regulate online poker in 2012 in an attempt to increase state revenues and outcast unregulated offshore poker companies.
