It seems like Mansion will be the first of many to pull out of the UK market after the licensing system and 15% consumption tax was applied to gaming operators. The UK Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Bill is seen as a serious threat, but some think that Mansion might’ve acted a little to fast. The Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association (GBGA) has filed an appeal against the aforementioned bill in a higher court and that means the ruling could still be overturned.
Mansion’s departure from the UK however suggests that they at least have very little hope that this will happen. So if you have money on there, cash out now.
