Mansion Poker to Exits UK

Starting on September 15th Mansion Poker will officially no longer be available to customers from the United Kingdom. People who are still playing on this website should cash out as soon as possible to secure their own funds. The message sent by Mansion read as following.

“Due to changing regulations regarding online gaming in the United Kingdom, we must inform you that Mansion Poker is required to close its doors to UK players on September 15th, 2014. As a result, we kindly request that you withdraw any and all funds you have in your Mansion Poker account.”

Mansion, part of the iPoker network, recommends players to join Titanbet.co.uk. Players that move to Titanbet will receive a huge 200% first deposit bonus up to £1,200, as explained in the following part of the e-mail.

We have found an exceptional gaming alternative for you: Titanbet.co.uk. You are invited to join this new reliable and secure brand for continued online poker enjoyment.

At Titanbet Poker you will continue to play the fast-paced tournaments and cash games of the iPoker Network, and you will feel comfortable with the familiar features of the software. In addition, Titanbet Poker will offer you expanded poker promotions that you will be sure to enjoy. You will receive a 200% First Deposit Bonus* up to £1,200 on your first deposit at Titanbet Poker.

After you have created your account, please contact Titanbet Poker support. The new room will match your Points and VIP level from Mansion Poker so that you can get a head start in your poker play.”

It seems like Mansion will be the first of many to pull out of the UK market after the licensing system and 15% consumption tax was applied to gaming operators. The UK Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Bill is seen as a serious threat, but some think that Mansion might’ve acted a little to fast. The Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association (GBGA) has filed an appeal against the aforementioned bill in a higher court and that means the ruling could still be overturned.

Mansion’s departure from the UK however suggests that they at least have very little hope that this will happen. So if you have money on there, cash out now.
