It’s been a few weeks since Forbes.com published an article with Sheldon Adelson’s opinion regarding online gambling. In the arcticle, Adelson clearly pointed out that online poker and gambling “are dangerous and immoral.”
It didn’t take too long for the poker industry to answer back. Some gamblers for example, are boycotting some of the many Sands businesses.
President of the PPA, John Pappas, stated that Adelson is missing out the whole point. With online gambling significantly growing worldwide, “all of the perceived evils have been addressed through appropriate oversight—greater oversight and regulation than what’s available in a brick-and-mortar setting”.
Pappas also added that it would be a “regulator’s dream” that the online poker activity was traced down in real time.
