J.C Enters the Final Table As Chip Leader, Phil Hellmuth Joins In With Third Highest Chips

The Bicycle Hotel & Casino is currently hosting World Poker Tour Legends of Poker $4,000 buy-in no-limit hold’em main event. In all 763 players entered, the second largest turnout in the history of the tournament. Only six players remain from the pool of players with the chance to win the title along with the $668,692 top prize.

J.C. Tran, two-time WPT champion and two-time WSOP bracelet winner, emerged as the chip leader in the final table with 8,295,000 chips.

Tran, 40, has more than $12.5 million in his lifetime live tournament earnings. Another big name on the table playing along with Tran is Phil Hellmuth. Hellmuth, 14-time WSOP bracelet and 1989 main event winner, is playing his fifth WPT final table. The 53-year-old player will outdo his current $21 million mark in live career earnings, even if he finishes at the fifth place.

Another big name joining the two legends is Marvin Rettenmaier. The 31-year-old player, Rettenmaier, has two claimed WPT main event title.

The minimum guaranteed prize for the event is at least $91,825, with the winning prize of $668,692 for the champion. Here is the list of players remaining with their chip count on the final table.
