It is time for Day 1B of the Israeli Poker Championship (IPC) at the Portomaso Casino in Malta, after Day 1A came to an end late last night. A total of 63 players paid the €400 buy-in to participate on the first day of playing, which is quite a decent amount taking into consideration that there’s another starting day and that we are so close to Christmas.
The line-up of players was a good mixture of locals and Israeli’s, who battled out for 7.5 hours before calling it the day. At the end of the day there was only 20 players left out of the original 63 and many of those are believe to buy-in to the tournament again today, making this the biggest playing day by far.
Imerman Noach is the current chipleader, racking up 146,700 chips going into day 2. He is followed closely by Nehoray Messas with 126,700 in chips and finally Kayat Ariel who holds 113,900 in chips. The remaining 17 players are all under 100,000 in chips.
Day 1B starts today at 18.00 CET, where our live reporter Patric Huemmerich will cover the events once again. You can see reports of the most important hands of the day, chip counts, level updates and everything else you need. You can follow the action right here.
