Harrison Gimbel Wins $3,000 NLHE At WSOP 2017 Completing Poker’s Triple Crown

Harrison Gimbel, 26-year-old poker pro has added his name to the exclusive list of Triple Crown winners, the second person to do so in WSOP 2017.

Gimbel, Jupiter, Florida native crushed 1,1349 entrants in the $3,000 no-limit hold’em event that made it his career’s first gold bracelet at WSOP 2017 and won a prize $645,922. The win marked all the three pieces of poker’s Triple Crown.

A player needs to win a World Poker Tour main event, a WSOP bracelet and an EPT or PokerStars Championship main event to earn a Triple Crown. Gavin Griffin became the first player to win the Triple Crown in 2008. Mohsin Charania, less than two weeks ago became the sixth player to earn the honor.

Gimbel won EPT in 2010 along with $2.2 million in the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure main event. He won WPT title in 2016 at WPT Rolling Thunder for $275,112. He has a total of $4.6 million in live tournaments earnings and $2.8 million in online.
