Europe-Bet and WPT in Partnership Agreement

Share

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is one of the most famous live tournament brands in the world, having expanded from travelling mainly in America to also going to the smallest countries in Europe with their WPT local events and such.

Now WPT has signed a new partnership agreement with a Georgian poker site, which will bring the WPT to Tbilisi, Georgia three times in 2015. The agreement has been signed with Europe-Bet, which is the second largest poker site in Georgia and has thousands of players online in primetime while it is overall the biggest operator when you include betting.

“Following our announcement with Ourgame in Asia, this new arrangement marks the continued expansion of the WPT global licensing initiative, expanding the tour like never before. Europe-Bet.com is committed to the long-term growth of poker in Georgia and beyond, and by working alongside Mr. Fleiderman and his team, the World Poker Tour has an opportunity to expand its footprint in Europe. We are thrilled to kick off this partnership with a $200,000 guaranteed WPT National event in June, and look forward to sharing the WPT experience with everyone associated with the spectacular Europe-Bet.com Poker Club.” Adam Pliska, President of the WPT said in a press release.

“We continue to strive to maintain our brand positioning, not only as the undisputed market leader in Georgia, but also as a globalized operator. Our partnership with World Poker Tour will help us expand our poker penetration at a solid pace. We are excited to host WPT events at our premier poker club, and to showcase our strong online offering.” Nicolas Fleiderman, Chief Executive Officer of Europe-Bet added.

The first event will be taking place in the Europe-Bet Poker Club in Tbilisi from June 4th to the 7th, with a main event buy-in of $1,100 and a guaranteed prize pool of $200,000.
