EPT Expecting Big Player Numbers and Pros for EPT Prague

Share

The European Poker Tour is going to Prague for the final stop of 2014, where players will be able to enjoy more than 60 different tournaments spread over the many playing days. The many events, combined with unique new events and the debut of the Super High Roller, has led to the EPT expecting massive amounts of players travelling to Prague to compete.

Besides tournaments, EPT will also be hosting the World Championship of Online Poker Awards Ceremony, where they will give awards to the players who did the best in the online poker tournament series. The ceremony will be hosted at the Hilton Prague on December 8th, where the main event winner and other bracelet winners will receive their awards.

Last time the EPT went to Prague, a total of 9,000 tournament registrations were registered and more than €12.9 million were paid out in prizes. EPT believes that this year will be even bigger than before, with 273 players having already qualified for the main event and 352 players for the Eureka main event.

Furthermore the main event of the EPT will see loads of the best and most well known pros attending. Guys like Eugene Katchalov, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Vanessa Selbst, Chris Moneymaker and WSOP Player of the Year George Danzer will be playing, providing lots of stars for the rail and lots of good poker for those watching the live streams.

The debut of the €50,000 Super High Roller has also attracted lots of attention, as it is the highest buy-in tournament ever in the Czech Republic. Oliver Busquet, Mike McDonald, Fabian Quoss, Ike Haxton, Jason Mercier and Adrian Mateos are already confirmed for the tournament, but more well known names are expected to participate as well.
