EPT Barcelona Schedule Announced

The European Poker Tour announced the schedule for the 100th EPT today, which will be taking place in Barcelona for the beginning of season 11. EPT Barcelona will be joining forces with the national Estrellas Poker Tour again this year and will have a total of 43 events spread out between August 16th to 27th.

EPT Barcelona will be featuring new tournament formats, which will allow as many players as possible to compete for the massive prizes offered. The poker festival includes a new €200 and €1,000 Seniors Events (For players of age 50 or above) as well as a lower buy-in for the Women’s Event, which goes from €300 to €200 in buy-in.

The tournament series will also feature a €1,000 PLO Hi/LO Championship event, €1,000 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Championship and a €1,000 No Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Championship, which will all be played 8-handed. Furthermore EPT announced that there will be a wide range of online satellites to most events, including the new Championship events.

EPT had an amazing season start last year, where more than 9,000 players entered in the different events. This year they are aiming towards reaching an even bigger attendance and prize pools and will kick off with the €1,000 Estrellas Main Event which is followed by the €50,000 Super High Roller and then the €5,300 EPT Main Event. To be able to accommodate all the players, 20 more tables has been set up to avoid being sold out as it happened last year.

“Season 10 was such a huge success that we are very excited about the 100th EPT in Barcelona. It’s going to be a historic event and we are looking forward to welcoming thousands of players to Casino Barcelona to take part.” EPT President, Edgar Stuchly said in a press release.
