EEE27 has won $77,589 at the PokerStars $2,100 buy-in NLHE High Roller despite Viktor "Isildur1" Blom having a great run with a string of online tournament results yesterday. The latter could not carry the momentum into the high stakes cash games and finished the day with a significant loss.
EEE27 played almost 1,900 hands between the $25/$50, $50/$100 and $100/$200 tables across the day. It was in a 3.5-hour session at 6-max table Lilium that he earned the most. From 258 hands, he amassed $68,793 pitted against Sami "Lrslzk" Kelopuro, Isildur1, Tom "tjbentham" Bentham, Laszlo "omaha4rollz" Bujtas, Venividi1993 and JayP-AA. In the process, he also took down the biggest pot of the day in that session, in a heads-up against Isildur1.
Isildur1 was ahead on the flop but fell behind to EEE27's top two pairs on the turn. The Swedish pro had plenty of cash as the money went in on the turn holding overcards and an open-ended straight draw. It was EEE27's two pairs hold up that handed him $50,610 pot.
FLHE specialist Yoghii was the second biggest winner on the leaderboard after earning $54,460 from a single 107 hand evening in a half an hour session at the $200/$400 tables. On the table, he was joined by Isildur1 and JesusLebtNOT. Isildur1 lost to both players, losing a total of $75,222 during the short session.
Lrslzk, who played at three $100/$200 tables during a 2.5-hour stint early yesterday evening, won a cumulative $48,692 from 328 hands. St1ckman was the fourth biggest gainer at the PokerStar event, playing 2.1k hands across the day mainly at the PLO tables. St1ckman’s winnings were $32,787.
Earlier, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom took down a $2,100 buy-in NLHE event for over $63,000. Last month, Blom had won the Sunday High Roller on PokerStars and two other events earlier this month.
