Earlgrey23 Won Pokerstars Tournament Number 900 Million

Last night Pokerstars reached a massive milestone in their business, as tournament number 900 million were played on the site. This was celebrated with a massive tournament that guaranteed $1,000,000 in prizes for a $109 buy-in, but that wasn’t all as Pokerstars also gave out random money and tournament tickets to the players playing the tournament the first couple of hours.

The tournament had a total 18,711 entrants and lasted for a little over 14 hours before coming to an end. Originally there was over $200,000 to the first place finisher, but as a deal were made three-handed, nobody won that much.

The winner of the tournament was earlgrey23 from Canada, who beat PaPakwanto from the Netherlands heads up. The deal that was made however, ensured that PaPakwanto took home $176,278 for his second place, while earlgrey23 only got $152,532 for his efforts – the least of the top three finishers.

Despite winning a few thousand less than the players he made a deal with, the Canadian will now be written into Pokerstars history books as the winner of the 900 million milestone tournament and we are also sure that he is quite happy with his $152K ship when he wakes up.
