Delaware’s three casinos, the Dover Downs, Delaware Park and Harrington Raceway & Casino, have started offering free online gaming such as slots, poker, blackjack and roulette.
This move is intended to pave the way for the state to launch real-money gaming by the end of October. Currently, the free-moey games are powered by a Facebook-linked gaming module DoubleDown Casino (owned by IGT). Scientific Games and 888 Holdings will be operating the real-money action once it launches.
Delaware passed a bill last year, to legalize real-money gaming amid an ever growing and fierce race between individual states to reap the profits of a regulated online market.
