Both of the two starting days at the Israeli Poker Championship in Portomaso Casino, Malta, has come to an end, with 42 players getting ready to play the second day in just a few hours. A total of 65 players registered for day 1B of the tournament, same amount as registered for the first day of play.
The turnout has been quite good and the players has had some time to play some great hands the first two days, something which we hope and believe will continue now that we are going into day 2. Only 22 players survived day 1B, where many locals unfortunately busted out, but with a few good players such as Konrad Abela still in it.
The payout structure is also ready, with 15/42 players getting paid. The first prize is a massive €12,000 taking into consideration how small the tournament was, providing a huge gap from 15th to 1st prize. Christiano Mari is looking the best so far, having 158,200 chips going into day 2, with Imerman Noach right behind him with 146,700.
The players will be back to continue the play at 15.00 CET today, where they will play down to the last 9 players for the final table, which will be played tomorrow. iGaming.org will of course be there to cover all the hands played, do chipcounts and show the payouts. You can follow it here.
