Professional online poker player Chris Moorman, also known by his online handle “moorman1”, became the first poker player in history to have cashed in over $10 million in online poker tournament winnings. This happened over the weekend, while he was playing a $215 buy0in tournament on PartyPoker where he won $9500, barely enough to put him over the $10 million marker.
Chris Moorman has also accumulated a number of impressive records and accomplishments. According to PocketFives.com, Moorman isn’t only the first player to surpass the $10 million in online tournament winnings mark, nobody else has surpassed the $7 million mark, effectively putting him way ahead of his competitors. Also, according to his own website, he was ranked number one online player in the world, 18 different times. And in September 2013, he was named the number one online player in the UK.
Chris Moorman is by far not the online player with the highest wins in poker. That place is reserved for incumbent online poker king Phil Ivey, who has earned over $19 million in online ring game winnings. Patrick Antonius trails behind with over $11 million.
