BurnTurn Acquires Satoshi Poker

By Daniel Allermand

BurnTurn.eu announced today in a press release that they have acquired the Bitcoin poker room Satoshi Poker, effective from June 1st. The agreement means that BurnTurn will take over all assets of Satoshi Poker, including their software, player base and player bankrolls.

The deal will make it easy for BurnTurn to open up a Bitcoin poker room as they want to do later this year. For Bitcoin poker enthusiasts this is good as they will have a new competitive room to play on once again, as Satoshi Poker didn’t have the funds or time to continue their operations and was put for sale a few months ago by its owner.

“Satoshi Poker’s early leadership with both its technology and community development efforts gives us an head start as we prepare to launch a new type of online poker experience,” Ragnar Del Torres, CEO of BurnTurn said.  “We are committed to marrying their knowledge and technical skills with our vision to deliver a Bitcoin Poker experience that enthusiasts can enjoy and trust.” He added.

BurnTurn has a better understanding of managing a poker room as well as on the technical part, ensuring that all player’s Bitcoins will be safe in cold storage and never be used for operational costs. BurnTurn announced that Satoshi Poker will go online again shortly and will of course inform the community when doing so.
