BGCCC to Hold Poker Fundraiser

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County (BGCCC) is organizing the Annual Charity Texas Hold’Em Poker Tournament for a sixth year in a row. The event is scheduled for March 30 and will take place at Gleneagles Country Club.

BGCCC has local subsidiaries in Frisco, McKinney and Plano, encompassing a 3,000 youth membership base aged 5-18. The organization runs after-school, outreach and summer programs whose cumulative impact affects over 8,500 young people every year.

According to Debra Sweezer, COO of the network, the organization grew by 20% in 2016, supported by the regular fundraising events. She believes that, “this type of growth brings us closer to having a “Full House” in each of our locations and emphasizes the need for support.”

This year’s edition of the charity tournament is titled Money Matters and will be sponsored by Ken Moraif.

On 30 March, individual poker players will be buying in against a $100 donation. Blackjack against $50 will also be offered for those guests who would rather try their hand at that game.
