Behind the Scenes of Regulated Gaming in New Jersey

Share

Online gambling was regulated almost one year ago in the state of New Jersey and despite the state not clearing anyway near the revenues expected, the state is still doing quite well, both number wise but also regulatory wise.

The land-based casino’s who entered in partnerships with online gaming companies are quite happy with how things are working and other states are currently looking into copying the way that New Jersey did it, including New York who is predicted to be the next iGaming jewel in the states.

Fox New York took a small trip to New Jersey to talk to some of the people involved in the online gaming industry in the state, including Casino Tropicana, regulators, players and also a guy helping people with gambling addictions.

Below you can see the video from Fox New York, which lasts around 10 minutes. In the video you will get to hear the opinions of the players in New Jersey, hear how the casino’s think that things are going, speak to the regulators who make sure that the laws are followed and that only players from inside New Jersey are playing, as well as with a state senator from New York who are looking to regulate online gaming in New York.
