Battle of Malta Starting in Two Days

The Battle of Malta is one of the biggest tournaments hosted in Malta this year and it returns for the third year in a row, aiming to break the previous attendance records. The tournament attracts some of the best players from all over the world, as well as satellite qualifiers, online tournament pro's and local Maltese poker players.

The tournament has been created by, one of the biggest and most influential online poker affiliates, who wanted to create a unique experience for players of all stake levels. The buy-in is a mere €550, but players will be competing for a massive prize pool of at least €500,000, as that is the guaranteed prize pool in the tournament.

The 2013 Battle of Malta shattered all previous records in terms of attendees, having 888 players competing for the prestigious title, creating a massive prize pool of €430,000. But Pokerlistings believes that the tournament can grow even more and decided to guarantee €500,000 this year, creating the best value tournament you will be able to find anywhere in Europe.

It is no coincidence that the tournament is being held in Malta, as Pokerlistings and all the biggest online poker sites resides there, as well as due to Malta being very poker friendly and have an amazing community for poker players.

The fact that Malta also offers some of the best poker rooms in Europe in the Portomaso Casino, close to all the best hotels, restaurants and night clubs, has also helped making the decision very easy for them. Despite being held in the beginning of November, players travelling to the small nation will still experience summer like weather and most importantly a very friendly and professional experience.
