Anatoly Filatov bags $900,000 USD as he wins 2018 partypoker LIVE Millions Russia Main Event

Anatoly Filatov has emerged victorious in the LIVE MILLIONS Russia $5,023 USD buy-in no-limit hold’em main event after outplaying a total of 916 total entries to bag $900,000 USD first-place prize.

Apart from receiving the money and the title, Filatov also took home 1,824 Card Player of the Year points.

Filatov has won 1,824 Card Player of the Year points and his score was the largest score of the 28-year-old Russian poker pro and partypoker ambassador’s career that has brought his lifetime live tournament earnings to more than 2.7 million.

He reached the final day of this event in eighth chip position with 11 players remaining. He survived to eight-handed action, at which point his Kings of Hearts and Queen of Spade outran Ace of Clubs and King of Diamonds of Uspenskii.

Filatov outplayed Alexey Melnikov in fifth place to move to second chip position behind Gor Kazaryan.

He then moved into the outright lead when he picked up pocket queens and called the all-in of Viktor Khodorenko.

 Filatov then knocked out Andrey Malyshev in third place for setting up the final showdown.

However, Kazaryan had retook the lead with 534,000,000 into heads-up with Filatov lagging behind 378,000,000 to start.

But, Filatov was able to regain a lead by the time the final hand arouse. Karazaryan failed to outplay Filatov in the final table and secured a runner-up position with $585,000 US.
