In just a few weeks after Chris Moneymaker and PokerStars ended their partnership, Americas Cardroom(ACR) announced to have partnered with the player who is said to have single handedly ignited the online poker revolution back in 2003. It was then when Chris Moneymaker entered an online satellite on PokerStars that led to him qualifying for the 2003 World Series of Poker Main Event and ultimately bagging the first prize for over $2.5million, besting 839 players and becoming an instant legend in the game.

The new ACR Team Pro made the announcement during the final table live stream of the $8 Million GTD Venom, currently known for being the largest online poker tournament for US-players.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Chris Moneymaker back to online poker in the United States,” Americas Cardroom spokesperson Michael Harris stated. “The fact that he’s chosen to wear the red, white, and blue ACR patch speaks volumes about our commitment to doing big things for poker in America and worldwide.”

Meanwhile on twitter, ACR said the new signing to be “The biggest online poker news of 2021 has already happened!”

Chris Moneymaker himself commented by tweeting: “Working again, retirement was too boring. Fun day!”
