Later today the fifth and final day of the European Poker Tour Barcelona Main Event begins and when it does there will be 25 players ready to battle it out for the first prize of €1,261,000. Day 4 started with a total of 102 players, but 12 hours later it was down to 25 with guys like Marko Neumann and Hugo Pingray being knocked out during the course of the day.
The current chip leader going into day 5 is the Dutch Gram Haenraets, followed by Polish Piotr Sowinski and Danish Mikkel Nielsen. Haenraets has 4,395,000 in chips, Sowinski holdst 4,355,000 while Nielsen has more than 1.2 million less, holding only 3,135,000 in chips. The average chip stack is currently 1,795,200 and a total of 44,880,000 chips are in play.
The fifth and final day will commence from 12.00 CET and Pokerstars will as usual be streaming live from the event as well as from the high roller event, which you can see on Pokerstars.tv. A total of four tables will be playing from the start of the day, but it is expected that the final table will be reached relatively quickly.
