TigerDirect Passing the $1 Million in Sales Mark

Share

TigerDirect, an online high tech retail shop, is the second larger retailer to surpass the $1 million in sales mark through Bitcoins. It took the company around 50 days to reach the milestone, having started to accept the father of cryptocurrencies from January 23rd this year.

TigerDirect chose the same solution as most other retailer is going for these days and that is to integrate the payment system through BitPay. BitPay is currently registering around 1,000 new merchants every single week, making Bitcoin accessible in basically all types of business all over the globe.

‘’We believe that merchants are starting to see the value that accepting bitcoin can bring to their business. We’re adding merchants at a pace of 1,000 new merchants per week.’’ BitPay told Coindesk.com.

In days where it seems like everything is going against the Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general, it is good to see that merchants understands the value in accepting the cryptocurrency and that they are not scared away by the wave of negative news that has hit the mainstream media recently. Congratulations to TigerDirect with the great sales and let’s hope that more merchants will hit similar numbers soon.
